Road Closure

Westside Hwy at McCorkle Creek in Lexington will be closed as of 9:00pm.

McCorkle creek is after riverside park going north on westdide hwy right before ponderosa west.

Officials told us they closed it because they brought in a 4th pump and have to pump water across / over Westside Hwy back into the Cowlitz. McCorkle is at TimWa park there at the pump station. Riverside Park is at Milepost 5.

I was by McCorkle Creek at West Side Hwy about six tonight. There were 4 or 5 workers but the station was pumping. Looks like they brought in a semi trailer. Maybe auxilary pumps or generators. The workers all seemed very calm.

I am in the 5300 block\ and just have no idea how bad the slide was?

does anybody know of a route from hazel dell rd. to longview. is hazel dell to delameter open? or is west side highway from lexington to castle rock open? or just sit up on the hill and wait it out?

I was wondering if Harmoney Rd in Longview is considerd close do to Coal Creek? And If the Buses are going to be able to pick up kids in the morning?

For the person looking for a route out of Hazel Dell..you are going to have to sit on the hill and wait..all routes out of Hazel Dell Rd. are closed...
