Flood Damage Assessments

If you have sustained flood damage, Cowlitz County Department of Emergency Management is ready to take in damage assessments.  For those with internet access, the form can be found at www.co.cowlitz.wa.us/DEM.  You can fill out the form there and submit it.

If you do not have access to internet or if you have questions you can call into the call center from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. December 11, 12 and 13.  The Call Center can be reached at 577-3177 or 577-3178.

This is the first step in getting a FEMA Federal Disaster Declaration.

I have a storage unit at the Lewis River Mini Storage. The manager, of the storage facility, called me on December 11, 2015, to inform me that a damn broke behind the storage facility and all storage units had flooded with approx 2 inches of water. It is a disaster and all renters are forced to move out of their unit to different unit. There is thousands of dollars in damages with no reimbursement. However, there is no available information on the damn breaking and nothing in the news about the flooding at Lewis River Mini Storage.

If a damn really broke due to flooding am I able to file an online form for damages?
