Potential for Minor Flooding Sunday and Monday

The National Weather Service in Portland just released an advisory for potential minor flooding in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington beginning tomorrow. A strong cold front will move through SW WA Sunday and will likely be accompanied by heavy rain that could cause significant rises in local rivers. Current trends indicate that the cold front will move though just quickly enough to avoid any significant flooding events. However, the high rainfall rates may still swell smaller creeks and streams and cause local urban flooding in low lying areas. (I'm looking at you Arkansas and Ostrander Creeks). Check back for the latest info.
