It's finally happening! According to the latest info from the National Weather Service in Portland "the first substantial rain in quite some time is expected over SW WA and NW OR later this week and especially into the weekend."
"This could be the most rain most areas in SW WA and NW OR have seen since March...The heaviest rain will be Friday night into Saturday and a second system will add to the rainfall totals into Sunday."
There will be an updated forecast with rain amounts tomorrow.

..... and please remember: Roadways will be quite slick after such a long period of no significant rain washing oily/lubricant grime off the surface.........
